The event, titled “Ending the Rohingya Crisis: Community-Centred Actions for Protection, Justice, and Lasting Peace,” brought together representatives from the United Nations, governments, and civil society to highlight the urgent need for justice, accountability and inclusion of Rohingya voices in international responses.

In his intervention, Tun Khin emphasised the ongoing impunity for atrocities committed against the Rohingya and called on the international community to act decisively to end violence and ensure accountability. He also underscored the importance of Rohingya-led initiatives and the need for sustained support for justice efforts through international courts and mechanisms.
“The international community must not allow the perpetrators of genocide to continue their crimes with impunity. Justice for the Rohingya is essential not only for our community but for the future of Myanmar,” Tun Khin said.
The discussion underscored that ending the crisis requires community-centred solutions empowering Rohingya voices, addressing the root causes of persecution, and ensuring accountability as the foundation for lasting peace.
